Why I Started Buying Houses in San Antonio

I’m Gabriel Esparza, and I founded Bexar Street Group right here in San Antonio. I’ve been a licensed Texas REALTOR® since 2016, and over the years I kept meeting homeowners who didn’t need a listing — they needed a way out. An inherited house they couldn’t maintain. A looming foreclosure. A rental with one bad tenant too many. A move they had to make fast.

The traditional sale — months on the market, repairs, showings, financing that falls through at the last minute — simply doesn’t fit those situations. So I built a company to do the opposite: make a fair, straightforward cash offer, close on the seller’s timeline, and handle the messy parts so they don’t have to.

Today Bexar Street Group is still family-owned and local. It’s me and the team behind me — not a national brand farming out your information to whoever’s closest. When you call, you’re dealing with people who actually know these neighborhoods and have closed hundreds of deals across Bexar County. If you want to see exactly how that works, here’s how we buy houses.

Why It Matters

What Makes a Licensed Cash Buyer Different?

Most “we buy houses” companies are not licensed. Bexar Street Group is run by a licensed Texas REALTOR® (TREC #672780), which means we’re held to a legal and ethical standard that unlicensed cash buyers simply aren’t — and you can verify that license on TREC.texas.gov before you ever sign anything.
Accountability

A License You Can Verify

Our TREC license is public record. You can confirm exactly who you’re dealing with — something you can’t do with an anonymous cash-buyer sign on a telephone pole.

Standards

A Code of Ethics

As REALTORS®, we’re bound by a professional code of ethics and held accountable by the Texas Real Estate Commission. That’s real recourse, not just a promise.

Follow-Through

We Close What We Commit To

We have one of the lowest contract termination rates in the local market. When we put your home under contract, we structure the deal to actually reach the closing table.

To be clear: when we buy your house, we buy it directly, for cash, as a principal buyer. We are not listing your home, and we will never charge you a commission or ask you to make repairs. Read what local homeowners say in our San Antonio seller reviews.

No Repairs—Inherited Home

Death of relative, no will, no probate. Gabriel and his company Bexar Street handled all the paperwork. They gave me a fair offer and after their title company cleared the issues they closed like they said they would. Smooth process, would recommend!
